Some useful information for our international customers

At The Fabric Fairy, we welcome and ship to customers from all over the world!  We want to make shopping at our site easy and pleasant for you, so here is some information to help you as you navigate our site.  Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make our site or services easier for you to use!

Currency Conversion

On the left side of each product page, you will see a dropdown menu that will give you a list of countries.  Click on your country to see what our prices are in your country's curency.  If for any reason you have trouble using this menu, a good currency conversion site to try is http://www.xe.com/ucc/.  Please note that this is for reference only--actual checkout will be in US dollars.

Shipping

The Fabric Fairy ships worldwide on a daily basis. If you purchase fabric from us, we will find a way to ship it to you!

International shipping is calculated at checkout. We ship internationally using the United States Postal Service Global Priority Mail, and charge actual shipping. Shipping has gotten so expensive these days that it is important to us that you spend as little on shipping as possible. If your actual shipping charges once the package has shipped are less than what our cart charges you, we will refund the difference to you.

If you would like to get an idea of your shipping charges before you check out, you can use the international shipping calculator at www.USPS.com. You will need to enter the United States as the country of origin, your country as the destination, and the weight of the package. For the purpose of estimating the weight of your fabric, most fabric weighs about 1 pound per yard, although quilting wovens and poplins only weigh about 1/2 pound per yard, and heavier fabrics like fleeces and corduroys will weigh a little more than 1 pound per yard.  Here is a rough guidline for international flat rate shipping:

2-3 yards knit fabric fit in an International Flat Rate ENVELOPE

4-9 yards knit fabric fit in an International Medium Flat Rate Box

10-15 yards knit fabric fit in an International Large Flat Rate Box

Please note that we will not check the "gift" box on the customs form or underestimate the value of package contents to help you avoid customs fees. However, we can send your order to you in multiple packages. Should a package be delayed in transit once we have conveyed it to the carrier, we will do our best to help track it, but we cannot be held responsible for missing international packages. We highly recommend that you purchase insurance for your shipment.
